Fresh Peach Pie (Vella Hayes)

Baked 9” pie crust
4 cups fresh peaches, sliced

Filling:
Mash 2 cups of the peaches and add:
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Heat until filling is clear. When cool, add additional 2 cups sliced peaches. Pour into cooked shell and chill.
