1 cup flour
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup butter
Mix together flour, brown sugar, and nuts lightly. Cut in butter. Put in 9 x 13” pan. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Remove half for topping later. Press remaining crumbs in pan.
Filling:
16 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries
¾ cup sugar
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
½ pint whipping cream, whipped
Place strawberries, sugar, egg whites, lemon juice, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Beat 20 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into pan. Top with remaining crumbs. Freeze over night. Serve straight from freezer.
